I believe my brand started at a young age and I did not realize my talent until much older , even after Beauty school. I have been behind the chair since I was 10 years old. Doing family and friends hair (and also my own , might I add) has always been a fun and exciting hobby at that age.
Majority of the females in my family all went to Cosmetology school. Naturally I did the same once I was ready. Hustling runs through our blood. The moments when my mom , Robertnette , sat and did my hair will always be with me because they were special moments. One of my sisters , Ariana , actually taught me how to braid. Also a time to remember. Andrew is my eldest brother , he also did my hair from time to time. That shows me even men CAN. My Husband gave me permission to shave his head , that was a very sentimental, strong moment. It’s not ”just hair“ , because our hair is so powerful. It holds your life. We are connected.
Im showing my children what consistent dedication looks like. I’m showing them that you can be successful without a corporate job. I’m guiding them to be their own boss. There is nothing like having your own. I should have never doubted myself , that was a mistake. I got up , dabbed my beautiful eyes and got to serious work. Respect , Integrity, Kindness, Commitment , Courage . My brand is my life.
